The References button displays instances of whatever you currently have selected.
In a new tab, this will display all references to the particular entity, e.g. Messages, Priorities etc. so that you can easily discover which scripts use a particular entity. This will be useful when removing items that are no longer required and for checking scripts that use a particular entity before beginning to make changes, in order to certain of the extent/effect any editing will have.
For example, to find out which scripts use a particular Service code, select the appropriate code and click References:
